FAQs
-
Q: What is an extrusion die?A: An extrusion die is a piece of equipment that allows you to mold thermoplastics into a desired size and shape, by forcing the melted material through the die. At this stage, the material is very flat.
-
Q: What is coextrusion?A: Coextrusion enables plastic processors to combine multiple layers of polymer materials by pushing them through the extrusion die system together. Coextrusion can be achieved by using an extrusion die and feedblock or by using a multilayer extrusion die.
-
Q: What industries use extrusion dies?A: Extrusion dies are used by plastic processors in a wide range of industries. For example, the coextrusion and extrusion dies we manufacture are very commonly used to make packaging and create film that is used in batteries. Our team is here to help you find the right polymer extrusion die for your application; we welcome you to get in touch.
-
Q: What is the purpose of polymer extrusion?A: The purpose of polymer extrusion is to form melted thermoplastics into a new shape. The die creates a flat film, sheet, or coating. In some cases, the product that comes from a die is then formed into another product.
